Internationalization has always been a common standard for dialogue and business between countries. The pandemic of Covid-19 highlights that the 17 SDGs are still missing goals on digital technology to be complete. Under the impact of it, the government of Taiwan is facing different market demands from different industries, the requirements of the international supply chain and the trend of ESG transformation in the capital market; and each of them brings different competitive crises and sustainability business opportunities to enterprises. From CSR to SDGs and ESG, the GRI sustainability reports are quite different in terms of awareness and action on this sustainability trend. Larger and listed companies have done it for years, but most SMEs only have a superficial knowledge. Some companies who know a little about it may interpret it as doing charity. However, it is a specialization regardless of the terminologies, indicators, elements or details. We need a solid systematic platform to create the key factor of sustainability across all departments in a company. The more the concept of sustainability is integrated into the minds of employees, the more effective the spirit of improvement will be in bringing tangible benefits of economic growth to the business or organization. Talent training and corporate governance, as well as environmental and social control systems, have clearly become the key to the sustainability transformation and upgrading of the industry.
According to the World Economic Forum research report, when ESG becomes the absolute key to global business operations in the New Future, employees will be the most important sustainable asset of the company. It takes thousands of words to cultivate a person. Human capital is the most critical success factor for companies to implement their ESG mission in the new era. The key to sustainable business management is for all members to quickly acquire ESG awareness from work and life and implement it into the enterprise,which makes the growth and achievement of employees combining with the company’s goal of sustainable operation. Any ISO certification, or even any personal or corporate honors, competitions, subsidies, public welfare, or industry-academia-research cooperations or initiatives, are additional points and can be converted into indicators with non-greenwashing third-party proof.
