Sustainability development is M-shaped in Taiwan that large companies keep up with the pace of the international trend at a world-class level. In terms of corporate sustainability, there were all words but no action in the past. Facing the future challenges, Taiwan needs “systemic transformation”rather than “incremental change” to bend the curve. Doing good things can also make money and win sustainability business opportunities. Let more SMEs be on the way to becoming the“international sustainable supply chain”. We believe that even small resources can make a great difference in sustainability.
With the impact of the pandemic, we need a new SDG 18 for the digital age to take advantage of the powerful transformation to benefit people and the planet. The Montreal Statement on Sustainability in the Digital Age, a statement released in June 2020 by companies, governments, civil groups and academics, laid the groundwork for the SDG 18 initiative. The statement hopes that society will understand that addressing the climate crisis, building global sustainable development and achieving an equitable digital future are issues that should be worked on. At the same time, it can shift the consumption habits to low-carbon footprint products and shift the social thinking from using fossil fuels to using renewable energy. In view of this, TransAct is committed to using digital technology products and services for the benefit of humanity.
